Ontario Announces New HST Exemptions

Ontario has announced additional point-of-sale exemptions for the provincial component of the proposed Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) for qualifying prepared food and beverages sold for $4.00 or less and print newspapers.

Tofield IGA

Tofield IGA just completed an extensive renovation in their 13,500 square foot store. After being at their current location for 12 years, and also celebrating their 30th anniversary last year, the Hares decided to continue serving their community by revamping the store.

They moved half of a grocery aisle to expand the fresh department area, and also moved a cooler to make room for more products. Eighty percent of the equipment was also replaced and the changes have been met with very positive comments from customers!

Tofield has also launched a Facebook page to keep their customers up to date with store specials and events!
