In the 51 years of its existence, the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers has only known 4 Presidents. From 1962 – 1977, F. Arnold B. Rands was at the helm, followed by Ken V. Gadd from 1978 – 1982 and Anthony (Tony) G. Wilshaw was the third man named CFIG President in 1983. In 1991, John F.T. Scott was appointed the 4th person in CFIG’s storied history to retain the top job. At Grocery Innovations Canada 2012, John announced that he would be stepping down from position he has held for more than two decades, leaving behind a storied run as CFIG President and CEO.
